  I had a preschooler at MSE, and all I have to say about this negative experience is buyer beware. If you enroll your child and then wish to withdraw him or her at any later date, you will still be held liable by the school to pay the full amount of the tuition contract for the remainder of the year -- even if you feel, as we did, that the school is not meeting the needs of your child. We tried in vain to work things out with the school for several months to no avail before we withdrew our child. We are so happy we left, but the additional painful months we spent paying for care our child did not receive are something we would not wish on anyone else.

  My guess is that the disappointed parent and kinda yuppieish comments must come from people trying to promote another school because both comments couldn't be further from truth. The teachers are the most down to earth, caring, creative and gifted teachers I have experienced. I have had children in every level of the program, primary through middle school and couldn't be happier in terms of quality of education. It is truly an amazing place. We had one child start in public school, had a great experience but when we saw all that was going on in the Upper elementary and Middle school at MSE we decided to move her and it has been just incredible - a blessing for our family and for the community. Oh, and our kids love Montessori!
