  The toddler and preschool teachers are fantastic and some of the most patient people I have ever met. They have to be in order to put up with their director on a regular basis. I have never met someone so conceited, controlling, and condescending in a childcare environment. I could list all of the ways I have been offended but I feel it's best to just warn other parents. If you can avoid having to deal with her, I would recommend the school. However, she feels it is her place to involve herself in places she clearly should not be so interaction is unavoidable. It's obvious why enrollment is so low. They have even more space available now since I pulled my little one.

  I have been a teacher's assistant at Evergreen Academy for about three years now. The school is a delightful place to work and an excellent choice to send your children to. There's a reason we differentiate Evergreen Academy as an "Early Childhood Education Facility" as opposed to a "day care" or a "preschool". EA teachers are the furthest thing from the glorified babysitting you will find elsewhere. They are college-trained in ECE and are required to maintain their qualifications with periodic supplements to their education. At Evergreen Academy, your child will be taught following the Core Knowledge curriculum for early childhood with age-appropriate effective learning activities. Evergreen Academy has one of the best and most expansive playgrounds in town (and probably one of the more beautiful ones in the state). Your child will be treated to an excellent balance of guided learning time and plenty of outside time where they can be themselves and have that vital active outside time that is so essential to their development. Evergreen Academy has endured the highs and lows of the economy and the town of Evergreen and has been around for over 20 years under the same competent, caring, hands-on leadership. That is a consistency you will be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Be a part of an Evergreen tradition and make the best choice for your child by sending them to EA.
